Hungary’s banking supervisory reporting rated one of the SMART-est by the EBA
The European Banking Authority (EBA) quaterly publishes its report on the risks of the Europian banking system. Risk Dashboard | European Banking Authority (europa.eu)The report is based on the data of the regular supervisory reporting of the 162 larger institutions. The EBA measures the punctuality, completeness and correctness of the data (data quality) by using the so called SMART indicators. Due to
the reporting compliance and discipline of the four banking group supervised by the MNB and represented in the EBA sample and the multilevel quality control system of data received and submitted to the EBA, Hungary reached an outstanding score relating to all SMART indicators of 2022Q4, similarly to the preceeding quarters.
