2008-2020 annual data presenting the impact of the September 2024 benchmark revision
In the EU, the benchmark revision date is linked to the September 2024 publication, as part of this, the MNB retrospectively revised its balance of payments statistics until 2008. Retrospective data corrections beyond the normal revision period were carried out, new estimates could be included, existing estimation methods were extended back for improving consistency with the financial and nonfinancial accounts, incorporate backdata already published by the financial or national accounts statistics.
In accordance with the international requirementsMNB compiles and disseminates data including special purpose entities (SPE), while data excluding SPEs considered to be the official publication and relevant to economic analysis.
