International reserves and foreign currency liquidity
Within the framework of International Monetary Fund’s Special Data Dissemination Standard the Magyar Nemzeti Bank publishes
the “International reserves and foreign currency liquidity” statistics monthly, on the dates stipulated in the statistical
release calendar.
The purpose of the data dissemination – in addition to presenting the international reserves by main instrument types – is
to monitor the changes in assets and liabilities impacting the volume of reserves. The data dissemination contains four interrelated
tables. These are as follows: International reserves and other foreign currency assets (approximate market value); Predetermined
short-term net drains on foreign currency assets (nominal value); Contingent short-term net drains on foreign currency assets
(nominal value); Memo items.
